16:9 · 1920×1080Instagram
YouTube
YouTube still wants landscape 16:9 for long-form and 9:16 for Shorts. Upload higher than the encode target; YouTube transcodes down.
4:5 · 1080×1350Instagram is a mix of frames. Feed photos get the most height at 4:5. Stories and Reels are 9:16. Landscape 1.91:1 is the shortest feed still.
9:16 · 1080×1920TikTok
TikTok is a 9:16 app. 1080×1920 is the export that fills the screen. Other ratios play, but they show bars or get cropped in the feed.

Reels share TikTok’s 9:16 canvas but sit inside Instagram’s chrome. 1080×1920 is the export. Covers are the same ratio.
